Hospital for Sick Children

The Hospital for Sick Children approached us because they had a very difficult problem with their pain reporting. These are the reports they ask their young patients to complete, in order to manage their pain and the pain of future patients. The problem is that these paper-based reports are essentially homework, and to a child going through invasive treatment, the last thing they want to do, is homework. However, by tapping into online gamification and with a little help of two police procedurals, we managed to radically improve compliance rates and revolutionise paediatric data collection going forward.
